Darksiders II – Deathinitive Edition review (PS4)

Darksiders is one of those franchises that went into limbo when THQ went belly-up a few years ago. The franchise has now been bought by Nordic games, but they haven’t announced any new games in the series yet. The original development studio (Vigil Games) no longer exists, and its employees have scattered across the gaming industry. Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate review (PC)

The Pixeljunk series of the games has, for the most part, always been available on PCs – but not Pixeljunk Shooter. The shooter/puzzle game hybrid has been a hit on Playstation platforms for years and even spawned a sequel (and a ‘bundle’ edition), but it took over four years for the original game to appear on PC and we had to wait until now for the sequel to arrive. Mommy’s Best Action Pack review (PC)

The advent of Steam has given rise to two major developments in PC gaming: a huge volume of indie games being released to the masses, and the popularity of game bundles that offer a variety of games for a fraction of the price you’d pay when buying them separately. “Mommy’s Best Action Pack” is a combination of these two developments. The Witcher – Hearts of Stone review (PC)

Although it was released early on in the year, The Witcher 3 is still a top contender for Game of the Year honors here at Press Play. It was postponed a few times, but once it was finally released it was well worth the wait and a fitting finale to Geralt of Rivia’s storyline. That’s regarding the main story, because we can still expect at least two large DLC campaigns to be coming our way – the first of which is now upon us.
