The Karate Kid: Street Rumble review

The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, developed by Odaclick Game Studio for GameMill Entertainment, dives deep into ’80s nostalgia with a side-scrolling beat ‘em up that brings back the beloved world of The Karate Kid. While it captures the essence of the films and brings plenty of charm for fans of the series, it doesn’t quite reach the heights of its potential, leaving players with an experience that’s enjoyable, though somewhat unpolished. Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open review (PS5)

Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open is an atmosphere-rich and emotional journey that taps into Malaysian culture, tradition, and folklore, creating an experience that is haunting and heartfelt at the same time. Developed by Cellar Vault Games and published by Chorus Worldwide Games, this next installment in the Paper Ghost Stories series builds on the foundation of its predecessor, 7PM, while expanding on the narrative and gameplay in significant ways. In Third Eye Open, players take on the role of Ting, a young girl who has the ability to see spirits, which makes her feel different from her peers and family. Her gift (or is it a curse?) sets the stage for a five-year journey that blurs the lines between the real world and the supernatural. Elsie review (PS5)

Elsie, developed by Knight Shift Games and published by Playtonic Friends, is a roguelike action-platformer set in the chaotic world of Ekis. In this futuristic setting, you play as Elsie, a powerful android created to battle rogue robots and save the planet. The game’s story sets the stage for an action-packed adventure: after the disappearance of the Guardians, android protectors of the planet, a mysterious threat emerges, forcing Elsie to embark on a mission to restore order. The narrative is simple, but it provides a fitting backdrop for the game’s core focus – its fast-paced, “bullet hell” combat and procedurally generated levels. Continue reading “Elsie review (PS5)”
