A few years ago, Ubisoft was stepping into the VR in a big way – now they’re back with Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, endeavoring to bring the beloved franchise into the virtual reality realm with a mix of parkour, stealth, and combat. Having played it on a Meta Quest, it captures the essence of Assassin’s Creed, and although the experience could have been more polished it’s a great AAA title for VR fans. This real-time strategy game, which was heavily inspired by classics of the genre, plunges players into the savage Realm of Ghur, offering both a rich narrative campaign and multiplayer modes. Flashback 2 review (PS5)
Flashback 2, the long-overdue sequel to the iconic 1992 game, attempts to recapture the magic of the original while introducing modern elements. Set in a dystopian future, the narrative follows Conrad B. Hart as he confronts the Morph invasion led by General Lazarus. With a vibrant sci-fi/cyberpunk universe and an adventure spread across diverse environments like New Tokyo, New Washington and the legendary Jungle, we couldn’t wait to try this one out. Persona 5: Tactica review (PS5)
Persona 5 Tactica, developed by ATLUS and published by SEGA, brings Persona’s beloved Phantom Thieves back for a tactical adventure set in a unique Metaverse. In this new combat-centric experience, the game introduces an all-new storyline following the events of Persona 5, plunging the Phantom Thieves into a world of tyrannical oppression and bizarre hat people. The plot unfolds as they join forces with Erina, a mysterious revolutionary, and Toshiro Kasukabe, a high-ranking government official, to escape the Metaverse and uncover the truth. Bluey: The Videogame review (PS5)
Bluey: The Videogame, developed by Artax Games and published by Outright Games, brings the beloved Australian children’s show to the gaming world for the first time. The game is structured around four interactive episodes, offering players a chance to join Bluey and her family in various well known locations such as the Heeler House, Playgrounds, Creek, and a bonus beach area. With familiar games from the TV show, including Keepy Uppy and Chattermax Chase, the game aims to capture the essence of the beloved series and engage its young target group.
