Upwards, Lonely Robot gets a demo

We don’t often report on demos being released, but Upwards, Lonely Robot is a fun little title that deserves our attention – here’s why.

In Upwards, Lonely Robot – an indie title by Kasedo Games – you’re trying to climb rotating towers in a mix of platforming and puzzling – though skillful jumping and good timing will get you a long way. For those who are familiar with the game Nebulus – which is over 25 years old now – it is a familiar sight. Like in that game, your perspective moves along the side of a circular tower as you make your way up.

Nebulus was a much slower paced game though, and Upwards, Lonely Robot actually rewards you for getting up its towers quickly as well. Aside from the offline satisfaction that it brings, there are also online leaderboards for you to tackle. Or rather, climb.
