Railway Empire – Complete Edition released (multi)

Railway Empire, from developer Gaming Minds Studios and publisher Kalypso, is now available as a “Complete Collection” for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

If you enjoy strategy games, then you’ll no doubt have heard of franchise like Cities: Skylines and Total War: Warhammer. I enjoy them as well, but one of my pet peeves is that I can never buy the games with the entire collection of DLC content that it comes with for a reasonable price, making them costly affairs if you’re interested in the full experience.

Kalypso is great about that with their strategy games. If you don’t mind waiting a bit, you can usually pick up a complete collection after a while for a vastly reduced price. The Tropico games can be bought that way, and now Railway Empire join its ranks with a collection that includes the base game and all of the paid (and free) DLC in a bundle that saves you 65%, which means it launches at roughly the original price of the base game.

We’ve reviewed the base game before on an Xbox One and recently checked out the Switch port, but being able to delve into all eight of the paid DLC packages at once is certainly a treat. Now, with the complete collection, there is a large part of Europe waiting to be uncovered for your train empire as well, with DLCs divided into regions like Great Britain, France, Germany and Northern Europe, each with their own unique challenges and technologies. If you held out until now, this is a great time to jump into Railway Empire.
