Ebenezer and the Invisible World, developed by Orbit Studio and published by Play On Worlds, offers a unique twist on the classic Charles Dickens’ tale “A Christmas Carol.” Set in a ghost-ridden 17th century version of London, players take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge as he battles against the malevolent plans of Caspar Malthus, a wealthy industrialist. With the assistance of spectral allies, Ebenezer navigates the city, unravels dark secrets, and ultimately confronts the influence of the Dark Spirit. DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue review (PS5)
DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue, developed by Petit Fabrik and published by GameMill for multiple platforms including the PlayStation 5, aims to bring the colorful and cheerful world of the Trolls franchise to life in an exciting new adventure. Set after the events of Trolls World Tour, the game starts with a poppin’ Trolls party, but takes a turn when the smooth jazz-loving Chaz puts the entire Troll Kingdom under a trance with his hypnotic saxophone, leading to a quest to save the kingdom. Stray Souls review (PS5)
Stray Souls, a new horror title published by Versus Evil and developed by Jukai Studio, ventures into the eerie town of Aspen Falls, promising a blend of horror combat and gripping narrative. Set against the backdrop of an inherited, enigmatic home, players step into the shoes of Daniel, a seemingly ordinary teenager thrust into a world filled with malevolent forces, gruesome encounters, and unsolved mysteries. It was one of the most impressive looking titles leading into the Halloween season, but how did it live up to the likes of Alan Wake II? We played the PS5 version to find out.
