World of Horror review (PS5)

The realm of indie roguelites is a pretty busy one these days, but World of Horror manages to stand apart, harkening back to the text-based adventures of the early ’80s with its gameplay and visual style. And while its retro aesthetic may initially make the game seem antiquated, delving deeper reveals a complex, challenging, and captivating experience. The game presents players with a series of self-contained mysteries set in the enigmatic town of Shiokawa, Japan, where unexplainable horrors test the sanity of its residents. Bish Bash Bots, developed by CATASTROPHIC_OVERLOAD and published by Firestoke, aims to bring a new twist to the tower defense genre, blending it with brawling action and emphasizing multiplayer action. Set in a cheerful, cartoony future, where robots have turned rogue, the game tasks players with thwarting their rebellion – which we attempted to do on a PlayStation 5. A Perfect Day review (PS5)

A Perfect Day, published by Perfect Day Studio, takes players on a unique journey through the eve of the millennium in 1999, offering a refreshing perspective on modern-day China while doing that. Setting it apart from other games, it allows players to explore and interact with a culture rarely seen in gaming, presenting a rich narrative woven with familiar human dilemmas of love, family, and youth.
