Sweet Dreams Alex, developed by Clarity Games and published by Kasedo Games, invites players into the imaginative world of a young girl named Alex. The game presents itself as a charming construction-based puzzle experience, interwoven with a subtle narrative that serves as a backdrop. As the Dream Builder, players assume the role of safeguarding Alex from encroaching Nightmares, employing an array of tools to craft intricate labyrinths that thwart these nocturnal intruders. Samba de Amigo: Virtual Party review (Quest)
SEGA’s iconic rhythm game, Samba de Amigo, leaps into the world of virtual reality with flair and color in the Quest 2 version – SEGAs first official foray into the world of VR (though that Alien Isolation demo was fantastic too). The transition to a first-person perspective feels like a natural evolution, offering a refreshing take on the series even for those who recently played the new Switch game. The production values are notably high here as well, and the game’s vivid presentation, combined with the soundtrack, is a treat for the senses. The control scheme is intuitive, allowing players to jump in and start grooving without a steep learning curve – with VR making it easy to imagine your motion controllers are actually instruments. Set in the dark fantasy world of Axiom, where humanity has conquered a cruel god named Adyr, the game revolves around the Hallowed Sentinels, warriors sworn to prevent Adyr’s resurrection. As the hero of the story, you step into the shoes of a chosen Umbral Lampbearer, armed with a magical lamp capable of traversing the world of the dead, Umbral. Having played and reviewed the original game almost a decade ago, we couldn’t wait to dive in. Continue reading “Lords of the Fallen review”
