Kemono Heroes review (PS5)

​Kemono Heroes, developed by Mad Gear Games and published by Jandusoft, is a side-scrolling action platformer with a setting that draws inspiration from Japanese folklore. The game follows four anthropomorphic warriors – a fox, a squirrel, a cat, and a monkey – on a quest to defeat Tsukigami, the Moon God, who has cursed their land by turning its inhabitants into stone. Some of the most interesting horror films and games thrive on blurring the lines between reality and the unknown, and Is This Game Trying to Kill Me? takes that concept and runs with it by making its in-game world and the player’s surroundings deeply intertwined. Developed by Stately Snail, this psychological horror puzzle game places players inside a mysterious forest cabin, where they must engage with an eerie computer game that directly influences their real-world environment.
