PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness has been released for PC users through the Steam platform. A visual novel that was released for Vita and PS4 last year, it continues a recent trend by NIS to bring their portfolio to PCs as well – and Psycho-Pass a welcome addition.
There’s not too much we can say about PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness that we didn’t already cover in our Vita review of the game, because the PC version is nearly identical to the one that’s available for Sony’s handheld. The only difference is that Psycho-Pass on PC seems to be based on the PS4 version of the game, with higher quality visuals to make sure the game still looks great on bigger screens.
For us, this is a game best enjoyed on a laptop – a nice alternative to reading a book while you’re traveling. This is why we preferred the Vita version over the PS4 one – and now the PC version bridges that gap. Finally, there’s a version you can play either at home or while on the go – as long as we consider a laptop a portable gaming platform. If you enjoy sci-fi themed visual novels, then by all means check out this title and read out Vita review for more details.
