Cosmo Tales preview (Gamescom)

Bohemia Interactive is a studio name most people immediately connect with large-scale military simulations like Arma or survival sandboxes like DayZ. Train Sim World 6 review (PS5)

With Train Sim World 6, Dovetail Games once again expands its ever-growing library of routes and trains, this time adding a mix of American, British, and German settings to the PlayStation 5 version. The new installment is ambitious on paper, offering everything from commuter lines through New Jersey suburbs to the scenic English Riviera and a stretch of Germany’s oldest long-distance railway. The Gang review

The Gang is one of those card games that immediately draws attention thanks to its unusual premise: taking the familiar mechanics of poker and twisting them into a cooperative heist scenario. Published internationally by the likes of 999 Games and KOSMOS in 2024, it positions itself as a clever blend of gambling tension and teamwork. Hypergryph’s Arknights franchise has steadily built a passionate fanbase with its tower defense roots, but the upcoming spinoff Arknights: Endfield is taking a bold new step. Developed by Hypergryph and set to be published internationally by Gryphline, it trades its tactical origins for a real-time action RPG experience fused with base-building and industrial simulation. After seeing it up close at Gamescom, it’s clear the team has big ambitions here – and with a major booth presence, Gryphline is signaling plenty of confidence in this one. Port roundup: Extremely Powerful Capybaras, Cat Needs, Airborne Justice & Eternum EX

One of the nice side effects of the current wave of indie development is that more and more smaller games are finding their way to modern consoles, often giving players on PlayStation 5 a chance to experience titles that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. This roundup looks at four recent ports that each lean into a particular niche: the chaotic roguelite silliness of Extremely Powerful Capybaras, the puzzle charm of Cat Needs, the arcade shooter nostalgia of Airborne Justice, and the retro platforming roots of Eternum EX. They may not be big blockbusters, but together they highlight just how diverse today’s indie lineup can be when older or overlooked games make the jump to new hardware.
