Indie Interviews: Monstrum 2 (Gamescom)

Before the big final of the EuroPlay contest that played out during Gamescom, a preliminary round for each participating country was held. Holding off stiff competition from the likes of Codemasters’ DIRT 5, the UK winner was Team Junkfish’s Monstrum 2, an asymmetrical multiplayer-focused title that blends sci-fi and horror. People voting in the EuroPlay content seemed to be in agreement that this is one of the most exciting upcoming titles from a smaller studio, so we chatted with Team Junkfish’s director Adam Dart about the game. The Signifier preview (multi)

Coming out in the near future through publisher Raw Fury and being developed by Playmestudio, The Signifier is a story-driven tech-noir mystery adventure that involves hacking into people’s memories and subconscious in order to uncover what really happened. Indie Interviews: Melbits POD (Gamescom)

During Gamescom, we had the pleasure of taking part in UKIE’s Eurovision-inspired video game contest EuroPlay. Bringing together 15 promising upcoming games from 15 different countries, the public was allowed to vote on their favorite upcoming production. Each game first had to get through a preliminary round in their respective country, so the total number of games competing was even higher with nominees like DiRT 5 and Monstrum 2 competing for the UK’s opening round. Eventually, Melbits POD from Spain became the big winner of the event, and we spoke to the people behind this very novel new physical/digital hybrid concept both during and after the show.
