Final Destination: Bloodlines marks the long-running horror franchise’s return after more than a decade, and while it doesn’t overhaul the formula, it does attempt to weave a fresh thread into the established mythology. The story introduces a new group of characters whose lives become entangled when one of them has a premonition of a horrific accident, narrowly saving them from an early demise. Of course, as fans of the series know all too well, fate has a way of balancing the scales, and the survivors soon find themselves stalked by death itself. By tying the narrative into earlier films through generational links, Bloodlines aims to enrich the franchise’s lore. Continue reading “Final Destination: Bloodlines review (4K)”

Lost Soul Aside review (PS5)
Some games arrive with so much baggage that they’re practically judged before they even land. Lost Soul Aside has had years of buildup, shifting expectations, and plenty of debate around whether Ultizero Games could pull off a big, flashy action RPG under the PlayStation Publishing banner. Now that it’s here on PlayStation 5, the result is… complicated. There’s a lot to admire, but also moments that feel uneven. And yet, when the combat clicks, it really does deliver the kind of fast, stylish spectacle fans have been hoping for. Continue reading “Lost Soul Aside review (PS5)”
Train Sim World 6 review (PS5)
With Train Sim World 6, Dovetail Games once again expands its ever-growing library of routes and trains, this time adding a mix of American, British, and German settings to the PlayStation 5 version. The new installment is ambitious on paper, offering everything from commuter lines through New Jersey suburbs to the scenic English Riviera and a stretch of Germany’s oldest long-distance railway. New features such as random events, conductor mode, and expanded free roam are pitched as steps forward for the series, but as with previous entries, the execution doesn’t always live up to the promise at launch. The Gang review
The Gang is one of those card games that immediately draws attention thanks to its unusual premise: taking the familiar mechanics of poker and twisting them into a cooperative heist scenario. Published internationally by the likes of 999 Games and KOSMOS in 2024, it positions itself as a clever blend of gambling tension and teamwork. Where most poker-inspired games pit players against each other, here the group wins or loses together by correctly reading their hands and collectively pulling off successful “bank jobs.” The concept is undeniably intriguing, especially for those who enjoyed the cooperative tension of The Crew and are looking for a similar mix of hidden information, calculated risks, and group triumphs. Port roundup: Extremely Powerful Capybaras, Cat Needs, Airborne Justice & Eternum EX
One of the nice side effects of the current wave of indie development is that more and more smaller games are finding their way to modern consoles, often giving players on PlayStation 5 a chance to experience titles that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. This roundup looks at four recent ports that each lean into a particular niche: the chaotic roguelite silliness of Extremely Powerful Capybaras, the puzzle charm of Cat Needs, the arcade shooter nostalgia of Airborne Justice, and the retro platforming roots of Eternum EX. They may not be big blockbusters, but together they highlight just how diverse today’s indie lineup can be when older or overlooked games make the jump to new hardware.
