Asgard’s Wrath 2 review (Quest)

The eagerly anticipated Asgard’s Wrath 2 – one of this year’s most ambitious Quest 2/3 titles, promises an epic VR adventure that spans over 100 hours, which by any measure is a massive RPG experience – especially on the Meta Quest platform for which it’s an exclusive. Developed by Sanzaru Games and published by Oculus Studios, this sequel follows the Cosmic Guardian’s quest to thwart the trickster god Loki across the realms of Ancient Egypt and the Nine Realms. While the game inherits the awe-inspiring scale and mythology of its predecessor, this one isn’t PC-based, so we were curious to see how well it would hold up on a wireless headset. A Highland Song review (Switch)

A Highland Song, published by Inkle and available on the Nintendo Switch and PC, immerses players in the mystical landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, offering a blend of exploration, rhythm-based gameplay, and a rich narrative. The game follows Moira McKinnon, a 15-year-old protagonist, who embarks on a journey to reach her uncle’s lighthouse by the coast, traversing the challenging terrains of the Scottish Highlands. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince review (Switch)

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, a Square Enix creation that’s exclusive for the Nintendo Switch, invites players to delve into the role of Psaro, a monster tamer on a quest to recruit creatures and engage them in battles within the fantastical realm of Nadiria. Boasting more than 500 unique monsters, online battles, changing seasons, and an overhauled synthesis system, the game aims to capture the essence of monster capturing and battling – a popular genre on the Switch.
