Developer interview: David Wise & Takaya Imamura

When we visit trade shows, one of the best things for us are the opportunities to meet with some of the developers who have helped shape our industry. It’s incredibly rare to get two legends in a room together, but that’s what happened this year at Gamescom, where we talked to Takaya Imamura and David Wise. The narrative sets itself up as a sci-fi thriller with shades of corporate espionage, unraveling a complex secret as Emi gains new abilities throughout her adventure. It’s quite different from the original game, so we were looking forward to checking it out – which we did on a PlayStation 5. Continue reading “Yars Rising review (PS5)”

The game delivers on its promise of brutal, fast-paced third-person action while expanding on the original’s core strengths in exciting ways. Here’s our take on the full game.
