Puppet House review (PS5)

Released just in time for Halloween, Puppet House captures a haunting atmosphere within its puzzle-horror framework, offering a blend of escape-room challenges and unsettling discoveries. Developed by Vecube Studio and Spirit Games Studio and published by Gaming Factory, this game takes players to Field Town’s eerie outskirts, where detective Rick investigates a series of local disappearances linked to a ventriloquist’s decaying mansion. The chilling premise of a possessed puppet, brought to life by a dark ritual, adds layers of dread to Rick’s investigation as players face both psychological and physical horrors. Developer interview: Forgotten Fragments

Following an impressive hands-on demo with the team behind Forgotten Fragments at Gamescom 2024, we knew we had to dive deeper into the creative process behind this upcoming indie title by Binary Phoenix. The game, which features two distinct campaigns designed for solo and co-op play, caught our attention with its unique approach to gameplay and intricate level designs. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 review (PS5)

Every holiday season, you already know that the new Call of Duty will be another major seller. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is not going to be an exception to the rule, delivering an ambitious and immersive addition to the Black Ops series, taking players back to a thrilling, espionage-infused narrative set in the political volatility of the early 1990s with its campaign. Treyarch’s latest taps into the end of the Cold War, seamlessly blending action and subterfuge. The story, with the kind of twists that have become emblematic of the series, lets players assume the role of a rogue agent operating outside conventional wartime norms, bringing unpredictability and tension to the plot’s covert missions.
