Noob – The Factionless review (PS4)
Noob – The Factionless is a new RPG from Microids that throws players head first into the MMORPG sub-culture, where people are dedicated to spend days, weeks, and even months of their time on a single game. The game follows a group of newbies aspiring to achieve the highest level in the popular (fictional) MMORPG, Horizon, before a new update is released. While the concept of switching between the real world and in-game avatars adds an interesting twist, it doesn’t significantly enhance the gameplay experience unless you appeciate the meta-references like we did. Mr. Run and Jump review (PS5)
Atari and Graphite Lab bring us Mr. Run and Jump, an electric 2D platformer that offers players a challenging adventure through the Realms of Color. After entertaining us with their “Recharged” brand of classics in the past few years, it’s nice to play another completely original Atari production again – which we did on a PlayStation 5. Frank and Drake review (PS5)
Frank and Drake, published by Chorus Worldwide Games and developed by Appnormals Team, is a ‘modern gothic’ adventure that takes players on a captivating journey through the intertwined lives of two extraordinary strangers. Set in the strikingly illustrated and richly detailed fictional location of Oriole City, the game stands out with its unique rotoscoped art style that perfectly complements the unnerving and dreamlike existence of the characters.
