The Last of Us – Season One review (4K)
“The Last of Us” Season One, a captivating TV adaptation based on the critically acclaimed video game, unfolds in a desolate world devastated by a deadly fungal infection. Set twenty years after civilization’s collapse, the series follows hardened survivor Joel (Pedro Pascal) as he reluctantly takes on the dangerous task of escorting 14-year-old Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of a heavily guarded quarantine zone. Ellie, who appears immune to the infection, holds the key to finding a cure, making her a target for various factions and a beacon of hope amidst the bleakness. Their journey across the ravaged United States becomes an emotionally gripping tale of survival, love, and sacrifice as they form an unlikely bond and face unimaginable challenges. The end result is one of the best videogame-to-screen adaptations we’ve ever seen, and the 4K set for Season One is excellent – here’s a closer look.
