The eagerly anticipated Redfall is the latest game from Arkane Austin, the studio behind hit games such as Deathloop and Dishonored. Set in the small town of Redfall, Massachusetts, players must take on a legion of vampires who have taken over the island and blocked out the sun, leaving the town’s inhabitants stranded and fighting for their lives. Stranded: Alien Dawn review (PS5)
Stranded: Alien Dawn is a planet survival/builder sim game that puts you in charge of a group of marooned survivors trying to survive in a hostile alien world. The game’s primary focus is on managing the group’s resources, health, and mental state, as well as defending them from alien creatures that pose a constant threat. Wartales review (PC)
Shiro Games’ new game Wartales has officially launched on Steam, after spending some time in Early Access. It’s an open-world RPG game set in a medieval world where the Edoran Empire has fallen due to a plague, resulting in a world full of mercenary work, banditry, and thievery. The player leads a group of characters with unique specializations, recruiting new companions, customizing skills, equipment, and appearance, surviving and exploring abandoned mines, tombs, and camps. The game features turn-based combat that rewards careful planning and strategic thinking and can be played in a team of up to 4 players. It’s a PC exclusive, available now. Cult of the Lamb (and Relics of the Old Faith) review
Cult of the Lamb is an action-packed and quirky game developed by Massive Monster and published by Devolver Digital, and when it launched back in August it was extremely well received. It invites players to step into the hooves of a sacrificed lamb, who comes back to life as the chosen one of a bizarre cult of critters. Featuring an intriguing story and excellent gameplay mechanics that will keep players engaged for hours on end, it now has a brand new update that adds on to the core game with additional content – we’re using the Relics of the Old Faith update for another look at this indie game.
